Ponderosa Adventure Park

A day surrounded by animals, nature, and the stunning landscapes of Guanacaste.

We depart early from San José, stopping along the way for a traditional Costa Rican breakfast.

Safari and Animal Encounters

Once at Ponderosa, we'll explore the park's natural surroundings on a safari-style tour. You'll get to hand-feed carrots to giraffes, zebras, ostriches, cattle, agoutis, and other species.

Waterfall or Pools, Depending on the Season

During the dry season, we visit [CONFIRM: Llanos de Cortés / La Perla] Waterfall, with time to take in the scenery and enjoy a refreshing dip, conditions permitting. In the rainy season, when a visit isn't possible, the experience shifts to Ponderosa's swimming pools instead.

Lunch and Return

We wrap up the day with a buffet lunch and dessert at the park before heading back to San José.
