Hacienda Doka: the journey of coffee

We stroll through the plantations to discover where coffee begins and the stages the bean goes through before reaching your cup. We visit the processing facilities and finish with a tasting. Before moving on, there's time to browse the souvenir shop.

Poás Volcano: face to face with the crater

Standing 2,697 meters above sea level, Poás boasts a main crater about 1.5 kilometers in diameter and 300 meters deep. We walk to the lookout point where, weather and safety conditions permitting, you can take in the volcanic landscape framed by the Central Volcanic Mountain Range.

La Paz Waterfalls: wildlife and cascades

We enjoy a buffet lunch, then explore the park's trails, winding through several kilometers of forest past five waterfalls. Along the way, you may spot monkeys, butterflies, birds, snakes, and frogs. We also visit the butterfly garden and serpentarium.

At the end of the day, we return to San José having experienced the very best of Costa Rica: the aroma of coffee, the power of a volcano, and the beauty of the forest.
